Magic Kingdom Park, or as most of us know it Magic Kingdom, was the first theme park built at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. It opened on October 1, 1971 and was designed and built by WED Enterprises and based on its California sister park, a lot of the layout and attractions are the same.

Magic Kingdom is divided into six themed "lands." It is designed like a wheel, with the hub in front of CinderellaCastle (which is also its logo), pathways spoke out across the 107 acres of the park and lead to these six lands. The Walt Disney World Railroad runs along the perimeter of the park and makes stops at Main Street, U.S.A. Frontierland, and Fantasyland.

Magic Kingdom is dedicated to fairy tales and Disney characters. In 2012, the park hosted 17.54 million visitors, making it the most visited theme park in the world for 2012.

Favourite Attraction : Wishes™ Nighttime Spectacular

Review : The nighttime spectacular was called happily ever after and was amazing. Enjoyed our visit towards the end of the day but lots of problems with tide closures and not due to the weather either.

Theme Park Tip : Take plenty of money for drinks or take your own as prices are quite expensive with water costing ??3.50. No free refill options like universal offer.

Review : When people think of Orlando they automatically think of this park so it is still a must for everyone. The parades are superb and the night-time display, with the castle as the centrepiece, was fantastic! That said the park hasn''t moved with the times at anywhere near the rate of Universal''s three parks and so it does appear to be a bit dated now. Also the snack food was appalling we paid $11.99 at the Tortuga Tavern for the Hotdog "Combo" meal which consisted of "The Worlds saddest excuse for an Hotdog" and a packet of crisps, no drink (hardly a combo). Getting it wasn''t easy either there was only one line and one window open and I was amazed that they still managed to forget the crisps on my order, particularly as the entire menu consisted of "Hotdog Combo" or a turkey leg. We tried their snack catering at Disney''s other parks (a case of having to) and it was poor quality, and value. Finally. We noticed that the Disney eye to detail has dropped. On previous visits we were always

Theme Park Tip : Still a must but have a big breakfast before you go, or pay $30-$50pp for a park restaurant lunch, or suffer the poor snack foods. A good park to make use of the Memory maker Photographers if you have the memory maker card. They are everywhere and get some good shots.
